At the time, it had been years since I'd last tried painting...
I'd grown too fond of coloured pencils to consider it!
Then I realised...
"no one has ever painted a LEGO car before!"
So I set out to fix that!
I wanted to have a dark "abstract" background for the car's base (it took about 5 attempts to get this one 😅)
It then occurred to me that having the actual headlights from the car glowing in the darkness would be really cool!
Moving to the actual car, this was really challenging as the acrylic I used dried very quickly so I had to act fast to blend everything together...
For a 1st attempt with paint in almost 2 years, I was really happy with the result!
the biggest lesson I learnt from this piece though, is that I definitely prefer working with coloured pencils!

It is A4 (297mmx210mm) and printed on high quality (400gsm) print card. Each one is hand signed and numbered with it's addition (i.e 2/15, 15/15 etc...)
The original took almost 30 hours and was completed using acrylic paints
HURRY! Only 15 have been made and once they're gone, they will never be available again!

How long did this painting take you?
The sketching, marker work and coloured pencil work combined took me just over 25 hours
How close are the prints to the original?
I scan my drawings at the highest resolution possible to capture every single pencil stroke...sometimes it hard to tell the difference between the original and the print
What frame do you recommend?
Due to the clean, modern nature of my work, I recommend a simple black wooden frame with a white mount (These prints are on standard paper sizes so are easy to find a frame for online or at your local framers)
How will my print be packaged?
The A4 prints are posted flat in a sturdy cardboard box and the A3 and A2 prints are shipped in re-enforced card board tube
