The story behind the art:
If you're anything like me, when you think of classic LEGO, you immediately think of the colourful spaceman Minifigures...
...so when I started to draw LEGO Minifigures, I knew I had to capture one down on paper.
Figured, who better to draw than Benny from the LEGO Movie as his face has a tad more expression than the original 1980s version.
I wanted to add movement to the otherwise rigid figure and what better way to do this than by having him suspended, limbs outstretched, free from the restrictions of gravity.
30 limited edition prints of this piece were made and all have been sold.
This original is all that remains.

This piece is displayed in a bespoke, hand made frame - the mount is edged with black to encapsulate the artwork perfectly.
Finished with gallery grade art glass that is non-reflective and UV resistant (this ensures the colours remain as vibrant as the day the piece was completed)
