Where it all began...
I've been obsessed with LEGO ever since I can remember.
There was something compelling about the colours and process of combining all of these tiny pieces to create a large, complex model.
(p.s. that is 7 year old me)

A scribble here, a scribble there
I also enjoyed creating the occasional doodle of a dinosaur or cartoon figure
Definitely nothing special.

The Spark
Fast forward a few years and we're at 2020.
The Covid lockdown gave 14 year old me a lot of free time.
Never been a big one for video games so thought "I'll do some drawing tutorials on YouTube"
Found these cartoon character tutorials and became obsessed!
(even did them in the car)

"I'll give that a go"
Felt I was getting pretty good at the cartoon figures but started to see more "realistic" tutorials popping up
I had a go at them.
Turns out I enjoyed the challenge of capturing the details of realistic pieces more than cartoons

Going on my own
At this point, I felt restricted by only being able to draw what people had made tutorials on.
so I went off on my own and created this drawing of the Mandalorian from a photo I found online.
It blew my mind that I was able to create this with my own hands.

Became obsessed
I got addicted to capturing every detail I possibly could to make my pieces look like a photo.
Through all this repetition, I was rapidly improving my ability to shade, pick colours and blend tones.

First commission
It was through my parents creating a Facebook page for my work and posting my drawings to it that I landed my first commission at 14 years old
I was actually paid with the materials that I used on the piece :)
But the fact someone was willing to pay me for my work felt amazing!
(it was here I knew I wanted art to be my career)

Pet Portraits
One of my other hobbies through childhood was horse riding so I knew a lot of animal loving people who were keen to have their horses and dogs drawn. I did this for a couple of years.

A change of direction...
At this point I was about 17 and posting my art to my own social media accounts...
...in doing so, I began seeing other people creating awesome car drawings
I wanted to have a go as I was starting to appreciate car design more and more.
turns out I enjoy drawing cars more than animals.

A life changing decision
The problem with drawing cars though is that there are A LOT of people who draw cars really well...
...in order to establish a unique voice within the art world, I combined my love for drawing and cars with my childhood obsession with LEGO and created the world's 1st realistic LEGO car drawing.

The LEGO drawings begin
I enjoyed the process of creating the LEGO Bugatti Chiron so much that I created drawings of the other 3 large LEGO Technic supercars (The P1 hadn't come out yet)

A different side of LEGO
It felt wrong to limit myself to drawing just LEGO cars.
I then began creating bespoke pieces of LEGO Minifigures
My goal with these pieces is to spark life into the plastic figure and capture the essence of the character they represent.
50+ LEGO artworks later
Now created 50+ realistic drawings of LEGO
These drawings have been seen by millions across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Tiktok gaining a total following of over 200,000 people!

"These pieces have resonated deeply with the LEGO community"
I've taken the prints of these pieces to over 20 LEGO shows across the UK
Sold over 1000 prints of my work to collectors all over the world.
Gradually releasing my originals to the public (17/53 have been claimed)

Want to explore all 50 of my LEGO artworks?
I compiled every one of my LEGO drawings into a book and hand wrote an explanation into the thought process behind each one.
