This drawing represents an almost impossible challenge...
I gave myself 3 days to draw this hyper-realistic LEGO RedBull F1 car— every piece, every sticker, every reflection. No shortcuts. No do-overs. And if I failed? I’d burn it 🔥 (I wasn't kidding)
As you can probably tell, I was able to complete it, saving it from being torched (only took drawing 11 hours/day for 3 days straight 😅)
This artwork takes the simple plastic toy and reimagines it through the lens of sophisticated coloured pencil realism creating something more than just another drawing...
It's a symbol of precision, superior car design and nostalgic love of the brick

Actual size*: A2 - 594mm x 420mm (15 exist)
Medium: A3 - 420mm x 297mm (20 exist)
Small: A4 - 297mm x 210mm (30 exist)

Framing
The print is unframed
Due to the clean, modern nature of my work, I highly recommend a simple black wooden frame with a white mount
HOWEVER, I appreciate not everyone has a local framer...

My Materials:
I've been drawing for over 6 years and in this time, I've used A LOT of different pencils...
BUT there are 2 that stand out against the rest:
- Faber castell Polychromos
- Caran D'ache Luminance
These are the finest coloured pencils money can buy and I use them to create all my realistic LEGO drawings
(The Luminance pencils are over £4 each...yikes!!)
I use these pencils on top of an alcohol marker base so the coloured pencils look EXTRA vibrant as they're going onto an already coloured surface!

How long did this drawing take you?
The sketching, marker work and coloured pencil work combined took me just over 50 hours
How close are the prints to the original?
I scan my drawings at the highest resolution possible to capture every single pencil stroke...sometimes it hard to tell the difference between the original and the print
What frame do you recommend?
Due to the clean, modern nature of my work, I recommend a simple black wooden frame with a white mount (These prints are on standard paper sizes so are easy to find a frame for online or at your local framers)
How will my print be packaged?
The A4 prints are posted flat in a sturdy cardboard box and the A3 and A2 prints are shipped in re-enforced card board tube
