LEGO Technic BMW M1000RR Pencil Drawing - ORIGINAL

The story behind the art:
I was given the model as a Christmas present
(at the time I had drawn a few LEGO cars)
my dad jokingly said that I should try drawing it…
…to tell the truth…
…the idea of trying to draw this scared me!
There are hundreds of pieces all at weird angles BUT worst of all…
TONS OF STICKERS!!!
Once I built it, I put it on a shelf and told myself it was just too complicated to draw
however…
I kept looking at it everyday…
It dawned on me that I was being a wimp!
So one morning, I took a photo of it and got to work
I realised that I could also make it a 1:1 scale drawing of the model
It took over 65 hours of meticulously adding in every groove, shadow and sticker and is still to this day the most detailed drawing I've ever created
I made 65 limited edition prints of this piece and all are gone! (they'll NEVER be available again)

The drawing is signed in the bottom right hand corner alongside the day it was finished (30th May 2024)
It also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity that is mounted to the back of the frame.
The certificate also states the exact materials that were used to create the piece.
1:1 Scale Drawing
I realised when starting this piece, I could draw it the exact same size as the actual model...
To do this I measured the wheel of the model and made sure the wheel of my drawing was the same diametre...
...because I was using a grid to scale it up, all the other pieces would be actual size too!
Bespoke, handmade frame...
This piece has a deep, custom frame that helps to further the artwork's depth and draw your gaze further into the piece
Finished with gallery grade art glass that is non-reflective and UV resistant (this ensures the colours remain as vibrant as the day the piece was completed)
The frame is fitted with a strong hanging string so can go straight onto your wall.
